Wow this year has flown by! I have had a blast being your Miss Alabama High School Rodeo Queen for the 2017-2018 season! I have made so many new friends that I will keep forever! First off none of this would be possible without our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! I would like to thank him for giving me such an amazing opportunity to be a part of this association and helping me make lifetime memories! I am going to miss our seniors next year but I know that all of y’all will go on and accomplish amazing things in life. To Ms. Jennifer and Garrett, thank you for always allowing me to use your amazing horse Ross throughout this year. To Jacy and Josie thank you for always being there to carry flags for presentations and grand entries! I can always count on y’all! To Mrs. Jodie, Tanna, and Granny, thank you for always making sure that I have enough Hershey chocolate cake to eat for breakfast and pushing me to be the fastest goat tier that I can be. Mr. Harvey, thank you for believing in me and encouraging me to be the best that I can be. Thank you Brent for always helping me with my presentations, you always know what to say. Thank you Mr. John with JD Photography and Mr. Brian Tannehill for the amazing pictures. Those are memories that will last a lifetime.

Lastly I would like to thank my family. Thank you Hunter for always helping me pick songs for grand entries and helping me with my speech. Thank you Drew for always climbing up to the Hay Pod to get the flags because I’m too chicken to go up there. And thank you to my parents who have supported me throughout this whole Journey. Mom you have dealt with my attitude throughout this year and you have been with me through the tough times. Dad you always try to make things cheesy but now we all know where I get that from! Without y’all I would not be who I am or where I am today! We had an awesome cowboy prom! A huge thank you to Ms. Jennifer Thompkins for making our cowboy prom a night we will always remember. I can’t wait to see everyone again next year and I am truly blessed to be your Miss Alabama High School Rodeo Queen again for the 2018-2019 rodeo Season!

Good luck to everyone heading out to Shawnee, OK, for the International Finals Youth Rodeo, and Rock Springs, WY for the National High School Rodeo Finals. Safe travels to everyone and just remember to have fun!❤

With Love,

Miss Ashleigh Clukey
