The Perry rodeo was a blast. Thanks to the GHSRA for hosting a fantastic rodeo. The skit truly was great! A big thanks to everyone that helped out! The queen’s job is very time consuming but I would not be able to get it done without help from the members. To each person who arrives early at Grand Entries and helps me, I thank you. I know you are busy preparing for your own events and it means a lot to me that you take time to help me and the association. Please remember anyone can join in on the fun, just come and grab a flag!
It’s time for our last rodeo before Christmas! As Christmas time approaches, we need to take a moment to remember the true reason for the season, to be thankful for the opportunities we have been given and the extraordinary parents we have. We need to always honor the people who make it possible for us to live the wonderful lives we do and the chance to rodeo with the AHSRA. Be sure at the Montgomery Rodeo to thank your parents, the AHSRA board members and our love ones who have guided us to be better people and competitors. Without their hard work, sacrifice and dedication we would not be the people we are today. A big THANK YOU goes out to each and every one of you!
Friday night there will be an Open Barrel Race. Please invite all your friends and family to come out and join us.
Saturday after slack Jobe has organized a chili supper the exact time will be announce during slack. If you can bring a pot of chili Tara will have a table with plugs to keep it hot. Please let a student officer know if you plan to help with supper. The theme for Grand Entry is Christmas Cheer, wear your best Christmas colors, outfits or hats and decorate your horses with bells and bows. This year we will have a DIRTY SANTA GAME. If you bring a gift you can participate in the fun. The gift has to be parent approved and wrapped. Remember the dirty part of the game is “stealing” the gift. We will play our game after the Saturday performance at my camper. Bring your gift when you come and sign in for the game. Your gift needs to be between $15 to $20 dollars. If you have any questions text or call me, my number is (334) 292-0848.
Sunday’s theme will be the true meaning of Christmas. Christmas is the season of great joy. It is the time God shows His great love for us. It is a time of healing and renewed strength. As you know, Christmas is when we celebrate the birth of the Christ child. God sent His Son, Jesus, into the world to be born. His birth brought great joy to the world. Shepherds, wise men, and angels all shared in the excitement of knowing about this great event. Please wear bright colors for the celebration of His birth.
Everyone travel safely, I look forward to a great rodeo and a Christmas celebration with all of AHSRA friends & family.
